Let's go back in time, join us on this Rideout back to 1770 and let's visit Folldal mines. The mine that extracts copper, zinc and sulphur. Mining operations ended in 1993, as extractable resources had been taken out. 245 years of mining activity had come to an end.
We take a 65 km drive from Savalen to Folldalen.We drive through beautiful nature and arrive at Folldal mines, where we will visit an abandoned mining community
We will visit the mine museum, as well as get a private guided train tour 1.6 km into the mines
We finish with a lunch before The Ridout returning to Savalen .
For those who need it, it will be possible to refill petrol at Folldal on the way back to Savalen
